Hi Michelle! Until I got your visitor message, I had no idea that one could write this kind of message in addition to PMs. So you've already taught me something new.

You are taking British Literature 1900-1945? My specialty is 20th century British literature! In that period, I particularly love D. H. Lawrence and Virginia Woolf, and my dissertation included Joseph Conrad, E. M. Forster, and D. H. Lawrence, so you will be reading right in my area.

This semester, I am teaching Victorian Literature, an interdisciplinary course on September 11th and Its Aftermath (with a political scientist and a sociologist), and a section of Senior Seminar. I'm on sabbatical in the spring.

What are you reading currently? I'm just finishing up a novel by contemporary British writer Sarah Waters called _Affinity_. It's a lesbian gothic novel set in the 1870s. I'm also reading some literary scholarship on Harry Potter.
