    I'm thrilled to announce that Balera School of Ballroom Dance, located in Newton, Massachusetts will be hosting its grand opening party on October 18th, 2008, at 7.30 P.M! Join us for an evening of dancing, re.freshments, and performances, including numbers by Jose DeCamps & Joana Zacharewicz, World Professional Rhythm Champions, and Benito Garcia & Rick, a dynamic Pro-Am duo!

    Balera is brought to you by Russell Jackson & John Nigro, offering dancers a stunning ballroom, private lessons, group classes, competitive Latin and ballroom rounds, showcase events, wedding choreography, formation and showdance teams, and weekly parties.

    The Balera website lists ongoing Friday and Saturday night dances as well as several events to commence prior to the Grand Opening.

    We do host parties every Friday night, including this upcoming Friday.

    This Saturday is our grand opening, which, I'd like to highlight, is free to the public and featuring perfomances by Jose & Joanna, Benito & Rick, and Balera Showdance (formerly known as "RLJ Showdance")!

    Looking for Halloween Plans?

    Tonight, Balera will be hosting its Halloween dance: dress the part (whichever part you like)!

    We'll kick off the evening with a complimentary lesson at 8.15, and general dancing will beginning at 9.00, lasting through midnight. Prize for best costume!
