  1. Those who have gone to or seen this event, has anyone notice any "fads" for 2010 standard or latin? More ballet spins? more open breaks? etc.

    exciting standard results!
  3. Does anyone know how to find out what country provided the most dancers?

I focused more on Latin events. I noticed a lot less "tricks" and a lot more basics.
In fact, the couple that took second place in the Rising Star Am Latin (too lazy to look up their names) had beautiful choreography, and hardly a trick in sight.
On the negative side, there is a lot more "posing" or standing still and stretching in Latin, which can get boring if not done well.
I think even Standard is going more towards basic, less flashy moves (inspired by Mirko and Edita).

  5. I guess it's like cycles. I wont be surprize someone will bring the more "smoother" style latin like Ron Montez era and others. it's alright to get that "impact" like Michael and Joanne but they also have a very slow controlled movements also.
