This is why I only do latin! I refuse to learn two different ways of doing chacha lock steps!
Obviously different trainers have different ideas how it should look. Which is expected as in any case it doesn't look like how Caribbean people would do it. For me, both accenting hips and accenting rib cage is styling and doesn't have much in common with feet
guess what?? that is the one step that both my rythym pro and Latin pro agree is done identically in both styles the walks on the other hand...
I've had two conflicting coachings on the locking part of the lock steps. One says that when you are doing the forward lock, both heels are off the floor, the other says only the back heel is off the floor. Opinions? Is this simply a difference between latin and rhythm?
I have always done both heels....the real diff I have encountered between pros is on the body angle for each part of the lock
At different points in my lock step (Latin) I'll have either one heel or both heels off the floor. Place with front heel on the floor, but as it "peels" for the third (final) step, I end up with both heels off.
