    Ah! To eat or not to eat? That is the question. Whether it is nobler in the mind to take up food inside one's self or to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous hunger, and thus by opposing end it. ;) :lol:

    I don't like cream cheese and thus cheesecake

    I prefer my cheesecake to be non-chocolaty and my choc-cake to be non-cheesy...

    Haven't had a good baked cheesecake for *years*... :(

    My condolences. :( I'm assuming that the bakeries there have some other sort of sweets, right?

    Do they sell the ingredients where you are? Is it possible to make your own? Hmm... do they even sell springform (cheesecake) pans there? :?

    Sponge? No way. Pound cake or cheese cake for me. Or shortcake or pineapple upsaide down cake. I like my calorie densities high. What's the point of eating cake if it doesn't have a billion calories per slice? :roll: :lol:

    And ho often do you do this? I ahve discovered thata s my eating ahbits improve I am losing the taste for thees things. Don't have ice cream anymore, unless I load it with cut up fresh fruit..for instance. But I do still make chocolate cake, toffee...

    hmm, never had really good pound cake, tried to make it once but it was quite disastrous (let's not go there...). come to think of it, i've never had really good cakes.....hmm, anyone's got any idiot-proof cake recipes??
