Dance Boosts Young Girls' Mental Health

    I think this is totally accurate, especially in social dancing.

    The effect can be seen in any form of dance including social and classical dances. The underlying principal is that they view themselves as being self-efficacious, which leads to greater self-esteem. They do not objectify themselves as much as those without such activities and do not worry as much about being pretty or looking good. Physical appearances cannot be controlled whereas something such as dance can be.
