Dancing With the Stars 3

I know way more of the stars this time around, that should make it even more fun to watch! Last year, I only knew who 2 of them were.

but a quiet "holy crap" to elena+tony... wonder if that means they won't dance at USDC? in any case both of them being tied up in the show certainly will have implications for what goes down in pro rhythm this fall.

three of the top active rhythm dancers in the field are cast in the show - lots of fallout.

well, and for that matter, Max and Jesse.

Well, I don't know who Kym Johnson is, but the show does seem to be loaded with latin/rythym specialists.

hm, won the austrialian dancing with the stars last season, some sort of australian amateur ballroom champion and now a pinup.

Kym originally trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance, as well as acrobatics, before specialising in ballroom.

In December 1998, she and then partner Tomas Atkocevicius came second at the Australian Dancesport Championships in the Open Amateur Modern ballroom. Kym studied further dance and acting here and overseas, breaking into stage with the world tour of Burn The Floor, and then travelled American and Japan with Sydney's New Generation.

She has appeared in TV ads for Coke, Pepsi and Kirin Beer, and modelled for Bloch, hairdresser Joh Bailey and designer Terry Biviano.

Other highlights include dancing at the Blade Runner launch, Elton John's 50th birthday party and appearing in the hit movie Strictly Ballroom.

apparently their winning routine in the Aussie version featured her getting stuck on his zipper.

I suspect that the time committment to the show was taking a lot away from their own competitive dancing careers. It's not an easy schedule to do the show -- you basically are taking a two or three month break from your own training schedule to do it.

right! which is why it's extremely interesting that the #1 couple in rhythm both signed on. i know others who made it to the bitter end of the selection process, but ultimately turned it down for that reason.

The show airs on September 12th, I believe that the Pros went out to L.A. around the first weekend in August.

Did anyone catch the list of celebrities on Good Morning America this morning(8/14)?

I understood as well that they would return for the 3rd season and that would be their last. Actually the spectrum's website says that they're returning for the 3rd season, guess not after all.
