Eastern Experience Given my context, I really can't complain: in Pro-Am Silver I (A2), 1st in Waltz & Tango, 2nd in Viennese Waltz & Quickstep, and 3rd in Foxtrot. In Silver II (A2), 1st in Tango, and 2nd in Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot & Quickstep. In Silver Scholarship, 5th. I started practising Standard in July, but not at all rigorously (for various reasons). Prior to the last couple weeks (since we had guest coaches), I hadn't had a lesson since November. The Tuesday before Eastern, another one of my coaches asked pro and me why we weren't competing at Eastern . . . so we decided to compete at Eastern. We probably practised twice during the week, but I think I danced alright, and I'm happy (still have a lot of work to do, though!).
Congrats BM - they are excellent results - besides we are all works in progress, even the world champions must feel that
Ditto...congrats BM! You danced well, you placed well...what more could you ask for? Sounds like you work on Standard the way I do...a little here, a little there.

The lady in #429 is wearing a black fringe dress I bought on ebay for $25. It was like a shirt on me so I lopped it off on her. You can find a deal every now and again
And ftr, I think everyone's first dance should be an automatic do-over....my shoulders are pretty much in my ears the entire first dance.
