Mens Ballroom Jacket Pattern

My dancepartner is wanting to get a jacket appropirate for dancing in to go with one of kilts we have a tailor who is prepared to do it just need to find a pattern

So hoping someone here knows where we could get a pattern for a jacket from?? :flower:

Good luck with that. I've never seen a pattern that wouldn't need to be modified.

Moreover, tailsuits are not that expensive anymore. a new one can cost you around 400-500 pounds by dsi for example. A used one will cost you even less, if you search you'll find ones starting at around 150 GBP.

In other words, the hassle of making a tailsuit, doesnt make up the costs of buying one.

I don't think one would wear a tailcoat with a kilt, though.

thinking more of plain jacket rather than tails and reason for not buying is to get it made in fabric to match exsisting kilt

so far no joy with pattern

Make it sure that the plain jacket does not have shoulder pads.

I think the poster is asking about having a *dance jacket* made to match the kilt.
