Yes, I agree. There will be videos. They are being produced as we speak.

Thank you, I just looked at the bronze You Tube waltz video. I did not see the forward and/or back twinkles in the waltz section. The USISTD instructional America waltz DVD shows both of those. Is there a reason they were not on the You Tube video or did I just not see them?

They fall under the #5 Closed Twinkles (in any direction). The videos are only part of the equation. The step list gives a bit more insight.

Who needs Paso Doble when there's all the excitement of the Peabody? Why dance like a rampaging bull(fighter) when you can gallop like a pony?

I don't begrudge people the right to do "fun" dances, I just wish comps would move them to their own times/days...Indiana puts the C&W in the early morning, MDC did an entire night of nightclub, meaning the day Rhythm session could go a lot faster without feeling rushed.

I admit to not getting the concept of "American Paso Doble" at all, though. (Though NP keeps threatening me with Peabody. I told him if he wants us to do Peabody either it's on his dime, not mine, or we have to do American Samba and Paso, too. That solved that problem.)

Heart of America, in Kansas City, does this as well. All "club" dance entries were Wednesday evening.

Anyone know if the syncopated underarm turn to develope is allowed in the silver smooth syllabus? It's one of my favorite waltz/foxtrot steps, but I don't see it by name in the syllabi

    8. Syncopated Underarm Turns-One syncopation per measure

Ooh, more ammo (NP actually really likes this comp but has trouble getting people to go because of the timing. I might actually be able to manage this year...)
