Hi all! I need help finding a song for an american rumba routine. I am trying to find something interesting/sexy/exciting etc... I would really like to find a song that has some type of theme that could be played with. For example, some friends of mine just did a routine to Goldfinger (James Bond) which was really awesome! Anyone have any ideas??? THANK YOU!
Welcome to the forums, Danceislove. One of my favorite rumbas is "Mondo Bongo" by Joe Strummer. It's actually more the tempo of an International Rumba, but it could work for American, maybe if you sped it up just a tad.
I've felt for a while now it would be fun to come up with a rumba routine to Linda Ronstadt's version of Blue Bayou.
That song is actually on our studio party playlist so we have all heard that one a ton of times. I would like to find a song that has some type of theme (such as James Bond, the Godfather, pink panther, something...) I don't know. I need HELP!
There are a lot of good rumba songs in the R&B world. One of my favorites is Nobody Knows by Tony Rich.
