On that note, Larinda taught a class on American Quickstep at IDB this year. I was such a fool and didn't take it but my friends LOVED it. And Larinda is everything I want to be as a Smooth dancer. :D

Smooth is my deep seated passion and I am eternally grateful for the time I have spent dancing and meeting everyone in this great business. It is also heart warming to know my dancing has been appreciated.

    thanks guys :)

Your dancing seems to come out of a fairy tale (no flattering intended...)

Grecia's Childhood from Ballroom Superstars 2 or 3 cd :). But it is originally from a movie.

Yes, Grecia's Childhood by Luis Bacalov. It's from the movie Sea of Dreams. The movie came out in 2005, but for some reason is unavailable on DVD. You can buy the soundtrack though.

Do you know who the artist is for "Lolita"?
  17. CT Ballroom New Member

Tony McKenzie. That's a "classic". My friends/mentors played that for the pros back in the '80's.
  18. Joe Well-Known Member

Are you sure about that? The version in the video is different than the Tony McKenzie version I have. That has a "whoop" at the beginning.
  19. CT Ballroom New Member

Yup, positive. They edited out the long beginning to give it a nice 4-bar intro. They also slowed it way down.
