two of my personal faves are California Dreamin' by Queen Latifah and Vuelvo al Sur by Gotan Project...this last one may be more of a bolero but you can do Int'l style rumba to it too...i also like Europa by Gato Barbieri

I have one to add, but it's not entirely Rumba, we did a Rumba/Cha-Cha routine to in our social intermediate class and I'm kinda sick of the song cause I've heard it so much, lol but anyways it's Derroche by Ana Belen.

Oh wow! That's your site? It's an excellent resource. I came across it a while back and I've used it a lot since then. I've actually ran through and listened to samples for the entirely of a few of the lists and I think at least a third of my current Cha Cha playlist is from your suggestions. Can I make a suggestion of my own though? :) You should add more to the Tango section, It's severely lacking compared to the others...

I wouldn't rumba or salsa to either part of that song.

The first part got similarities (i.e. conga pattern) with bolero, the second part with samba.

I got American rumba into a Brazilian samba / super fast salsa.

I still tend to find Spanish/Latin songs most alluring...

    American Rumba

Sparx - No Hay Otro Amor

Carlos Baute and Marta Sanchez - Colgando en tus manos

Juan Luis Guerra - Burbujas De Amor

Enrique Iglesias, Juan Luis Guerra - Cuando Me Enamoro

    Lara Fabian - Quedate

Ana Belen and Juan Luis Guerra - derroche (Rumba+Cha)

Ana Belen and Antonio Banderas - No s por que Te Quiero

Gloria Estefan - Not give you up

    International Rumba

    Gisselle D'Cole - Asi

    Gisselle - Jurame

    RBD - Salvame

    Marta Sanchez - La Belleza

Touch & Go - Straight To Number One

Nice - thank you for the info. Definitely one I have not heard of. I think I'd just chop off the ending before trying to use the song though. It would really screw up any dancers I know; Unless using it in a choreographed showcase.

    1st.. song is Son Bolero
2nd Bolero with a Son accent
    3rd.. Danzon
    4th.. Danzon
    5th.. Son/Bolero

And of course , one may dance american style square rumba to the Danzon ( the true cuban rumba .partnership style )

Autumn Leaves, by Roberto Inglez. No words, but you can really hear those dead leaves blowing about in the breeze.

First heard this song on a Sandro Cavallini and Hanna showdance, originally by Barbra Streisand. Beautiful song.

Good choice. I live where Eva Cassidy lived and sang, and sadly did not discover her until it was too late.

Welcome to the DF, Flex. Being in HI (note the name :) ), I have a fav called Pualena by Vika. Unfortunately, there isn't a good version of it on YT. Has become the signature song for partner and I.
