Oh no, don't tell me I blew it. It was a good guess - and in my defense, if you lead it I would follow
Elise, you're right top spin is a good one. No worries!! AC, Alex Moore tells me this: Man: 1. Turning body to the L, move LF slightly to the R, behind the RF. Partner outside (Q) 2. RF back, still turning body to the L (Q) 3. LF to side and slightly forward (in total: 3/8 turn) (Q) 4. RF forward outside partner in CBMP left shoulder lead. (Q) Lady: 1. Turning body to the L, move RF to the L, across LF. Outsode partner (Q) 2. LF forward, stil turning L (Q) 3. RF to side (Q) 4. LF back, partner outside (Q) And you know what, you just ended ina Feather Finish, so what's next?

Oops, it was actually my mistake. I was contemplating the various options, then I thought how much more difficult it was for me to come up with follows for a three step... so I confused myself
Figures from FF Ok, well I'm known for crazy choreography...so crazy that judges will look twice. May not be legal but I think you can do tumble turn from FF...EASY!! As a follower in standard, I may not know all the names but I'll try my best. Stopping Figures -Contra Check -Check Line (similar to tango challenge line, but the lady's head is closed) -Twist Turn (girl run run run around guy - natural direction) - Kick (Pivot 45 deg on your left to let lady kick left leg) - Same Foot Lunge - Hover to the right - Eros Line (this is totally cute and unexpected) - Step replace Lunge on left foot Left Turning Figures - Reverse Turn - Pivot into woman's telemark (i'm into inter-sexing too) - Hesitation - Double Reverse Spin - Switch (you may have to do a 180 turn, but it's possible...yes i like it, maybe i'll put in my routine) - Rudolph Ronde (whee one of my favs) - Ronde Twist Turn Right Turning Figures - Take 1st Step of a "3 Step" then go into Pivots (wheeeee) - Right Switch - Impetus into Natural Overspin Going Straight Figures / Travelling - 3 Step - Chasse to the Right - Back Low Lock (knees bent) - Tipple Chasse to left - Back High Lock - Curved Feather - Fishtail to the right then left - Open Natural Hope you like them.
Whooaa, I just woke up. Two long lists!! For the next time I'll add a rule: no more then 3 variations, this is no fun for the ones that are glad to know a impetus could follow a FF, IYKWIM. But well, Im gonna check them all. I'll be back, in a few hours I think. Oh, and Elise, You gotta show me that (s)top-spin out of control, sounds great!! eace:
As step squences go its great to start - the best - however noone has yet figured out how to stop it without kaputting a judge or two...
Many (most, in fact) of these require some kind of intermediary step(s) between them and the feather finish...
That's not by the rules, one step forward or backward is ok, the rest is nok. I know only half of the figures Amiko named, so I can't check them all. I'm almost done checking the figures I know.
First of all: I'm not god, I don't know everything, but together we'll figure this all out. I'm the judge, but I'm reasonable, if I don't get it or I'm wrong, explane it to me. Let's aim for at least 50 variations. OK = green NOK = red No frikkin clue = blue Amiko: Stopping Figures - Contra Check - Check Line (similar to tango challenge line, but the lady's head is closed) - Twist Turn (girl run run run around guy - natural direction) - Kick (Pivot 45 deg on your left to let lady kick left leg) - Same Foot Lunge - Hover to the right - Eros Line (this is totally cute and unexpected) - Step replace Lunge on left foot Left Turning Figures - Reverse Turn - Pivot into woman's telemark (i'm into inter-sexing too) Two figures - Hesitation Change ( - Double Reverse Spin - Switch (you may have to do a 180 turn, but it's possible...yes i like it, maybe i'll put in my routine) Two figures - Rudolph Ronde (whee one of my favs) - Ronde Twist Turn Right Turning Figures - Take 1st Step of a "3 Step" then go into Pivots (wheeeee) LF back and spins is ok tho - Right Switch - Impetus into Natural Overspin Going Straight Figures / Travelling - 3 Step - Chasse to the Right - Back Low Lock (knees bent) - Tipple Chasse to left - Back High Lock - Curved Feather Wrong foot - Fishtail to the right then left (don't know if this is legal for SF) - Open Natural Wrong foot DanceMentor: Fallaway Reverse and Slip Pivot Bounce Fallaway Reverse Turn Reverse Turn Checked Back Feather Extended Weave (an extention is not allowed by the judges... judge... me :wink Outside Spin Change of Direction Chase to Right Contra Check Travelling Contra Check Curved Three Step Open Telemark Closed Telemark Reverse Swivel Reverse Pivot (Marat Gimaev does this into Contra Check, that ROCKS!!!:rocker Double Reverse Turn Quick Wing (a Quick Wing is a syncopated Wing) Forward Lock Hover Feather Wrong foot Quick Open Reverse Fallaway Whisk Whisk is illegal in SF, due to rise and fall. Telespin See first post for the full list
Could I answer your original question with: 'any step led off the left foot'? If not perhaps its easier to list exceptions...
LF forward. Rondé with RF all the way thru to PP. Don't know what Prince of Wales is tho, do remember hearing it some time long ago.
