That it was Friday!
A ridiculously wonderful, boring day with DH.
No sambanada for two weeks. Are you okay, darlin?
What made me smile today.
Conversation with DS.
Me: Okay Pumpkin, I need you to do [blah]
Me again: Oops. I have to stop calling you Pumpkin, especially in front of your friends. You're too old for that. It must embarrass you.
DS: No Mom. It's okay.
Me: But your friends might laugh at you.
DS: I don't care. Call me Pumpkin whenever you want.
I love my boy. :-D
1) Max Whitlock's pommel horse routine. Cracking.
2) Watching my friend complete a new bouldering route that took her slightly out of her comfort zone.

Another smile today. After I got my ailing car looked at, I took DS to lunch and a movie.
On the way home, he started almost stuttering and said, "Mom. Mom." "What?! DS What?!? Just finish your sentence!!!"
"Mom. Even when I grow up, can we still hang out like this?"
"Yes, baby. Do you think I hang out with you because I have to? I don't have to. I hang out with you because I like you."
Awww. Very awesome. It made my day.
Now, your sun made me smile!
first smile today from my DH's joke!!!
Reading Playful Parenting by Lawrence J. Cohen
not only is this book helpful and *******ing..it sometimes makes me laugh out loud or smile at his antics...
"his quote; it takes a village idiot to raise a child"
(ie he is prepared to sacrfice his dignity in order to be playful with children at their level)
I work in a gift shop and it was almost closing time so I was standing at the counter with my colleagues while one did the totals.
A love little girl comes running in and asks politely, "May I have some tissues, please?"
I was rather impressed with her manners as they are few and far between these days. "Of course!" I said and held out the box to her, waiting for her to pluck a few out.
"Thanks!" And with that, she grabs the whole box and runs out of the shop.
I haven't laughed so hard in weeks!
