just heard this one today on my ipod at the beach. forgot about it til then. great one
"Cinderella," by Steven Curtis Chapman. It is so sweet, and perfect for a father, daughter dance. I want to dance to it at my wedding, God willing, but I am way to young to even think about marriage!
You can find it on YouTube.
It's not modern, but Wintertime Love by The Doors is a favorite of mine.
Welcome to DF Ed Simian!
THANK YOU EVERYONE - If you are right and we can dance the viennesse waltz to "If I Ain't Got You" -Alicia Keys that is what we are going to go with the fiance loves it!
Hey, I just did a Viennese waltz to Time in a Bottle, although not for a wedding. I posted the video to the Videos forum:
I love the lifehouse song. I also have on my Viennese Waltz playlist If Only by Fiction Plane, Do right woman, do right man by Aretha Franklin. I would suggest practicing in your dress because Viennese moves and some wedding gowns weigh a ton.
I was at a dance recently and they did the VW to the Harry Potter son"Hedwig's theme" I think. Not very weddingish though
recently I did "1000 years" by christina perri....i loved it and it would be great for a wedding
Also, "Eighteen Inches" by Lauren Alaina.
You can also do "The Only Exception" by Paramore. It's lovely.
try World Stand Still by the Tenors
I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz
Sunrise, Sunset from Fiddler on the Roof is good for a Father-Daughter/Mother-Son dance
ha, and just realizing they found their song 5 years ago!
In think the thread has progressed beyond a specific need to a more general, here are some modern v waltzes.
true, but there is all ready another thread going for that.
I prefer the Glee version to the original.
Wedding-wise... I Have Nothing - Whitney Houston
Gosh, I must be getting old, I don't think some of the kids here will call that modern
I'm older than that song by only three months. You are definitely getting old. =))
