Just finished watching "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" (good movie!) New quote:

"Everything will be alright in the end. If it isn't alright, it isn't the end."

Boris Lermontov: Why do you want to dance?
Victoria Page: Why do you want to live?
Boris Lermontov: Well I don't know exactly why, er, but I must.
Victoria Page: That's my answer too.
    -The Red Shoes

This echoes my feelings about dance. It's just something I have to do :)

"We are all a little weird, and life is a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." -Dr. Seuss

Another favorite optimistic outlook on life and each individual's intricacies.

"The point of a formal dinner is to socialize and take your time - to break bread with people. The Bible doesn't say that at the Last Supper they all got a roll." - Maggie Bonner

Saw this recently, and it resonated with me:

Why would one dig in like a pit bull; this is not something that can be held. Something like that, it drives you; it digs into YOU! I would amend to:

"You're lucky if you can find even one thing in a
lifetime that inspires you to push beyond the
accepted, to fight the established, to run the
razor's edge and discover your limits are only
what you make them. But if you ever do find
such a thing, spread your wings
and let it propel you to heaven."

"Why do I dance? Dance is my medicine. It's the scream which eases for a while the terrible frustration common to all human beings who because of race, creed, or color are 'invisible.' Dance is the fist with which I fight the sickening ignorance of prejudice."

This is so true, sami. Not just a great quote. It's true. I've experienced it.
