So I was talking with a buddy, and we both thought that Stefano totally copped out on Billie Jean - there were no signature Michael moves, the song was "chachized" (which just isn't necessary) and their outfits were kind of semi-tribute, but not really. What happened there? I was so excited when it was Billie Jean and, then, it was just blaaahh.... I hate saying this, but if you're going to do Billie Jean for a show, you've got to bring it, and I don't think that their routine did. Sigh...
I almost completely disagree. I thought they did a great job styling their cha cha cha to have a similar feeling that you get when you watch MJ dance. It didn't have a moonwalk or anything, which would've been fun, but you can't really say that they copped out because of it. It was a cha cha cha with an MJ feel, and I think that was appropriate given the menu. I did think the music was a little odd, and I think they could've raised the bar just a tad higher, but overall I really liked it.

Sascha Karabey & Natasha Karabey (Sun.) Domen Krapez & Monica Nigro (Sun.) Domenico ????? (Sat.) --------------- Another couple is to be added for Saturday show. Since there are 3 latin couples on Saturday, it's likely that the couple to be announced later will be a standard couple. (I was hoping for Slavik/Daria or Justinas/Anna....) Jukka Haappalainen & Sirpa Suutari will do a special performance.
I'm looking at what I thought was the organiser's website, but can't seem to find any details? Any chance of a PM with a link? I'm very interested to go this year. My guess for the further Standard couple is for Andrea Ghigiarelli and Sara Andracchio since they just won the European Standard on Saturday, placing above two of the couples on the list. I'm surprised they didn't invite Andrej Skufca and Melinda, actually.
Moderators, please divert the 2012 discussions to a new thread. Franco & Olga haven't done any competitions yet. What if they don't dance well initially? That's been known to happen too many times...
