You and me both! If we ever meet at a dance, that's what we're doing.
I went through 3 teachers in the first two years of dance lessons at a franchise-like studio. But moving on was inevitable. It may work for you, Rodrk352, but I'm past the point where I can tolerate a teacher not knowing cold what they are supposed to be teaching me.
I love bolero, but the way I like to dance it, I can only dance with DW.
I wish I knew more bolero patterns...sigh.,..it is not a high priority for a 10 dance sort of pro
or for Cheryl Burke LLOLLLL
actually, Starlight Ballroom, which became Starlight Danceclub, which became Cheryl Burke Dance, was where I learned the bolero...
nice but you didnt learn it from cheryl LOL is that the one in laguna??
I was long gone from the Starlight Ballroom in Silicon Valley before Cheryl Burke had anything to do with it...
gothchya she has two studios now
With my first teacher's invaluable help dancing became my dancing now 4 months after he left. I was discouraged but the last 2 months I'm happy we both moved on. It's a relief to know your passion for dance is entirely yours and not your teacher's. It means you are a dancer in your own right. You are a dancer fullstop. Being a novice dancer or a social dancer doesn't make you less of a dancer.;-)
I am so glad you discovered this
once again pondering. got over my first pro, got a second and a third, got back to my first pro and now pondering again, given my break...LIFE GOES ON BUT HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF...
only if you allow it
couldn't agree with you more. we are our choices. we are our actions. we are what we make of ourselves.
right...and we cannnot change others...we can only change how we respond
my hubby's words 1 hour ago. you are echoing one another and neither of you is in Athens right now...
