LOS ANGELES--FEBRUARY 26, 2013-- For two days, Virgin America is cutting nonstop nationwide fares from Los Angeles for spring travel. This is the first time the airline has discounted fares into June.
These fares are available most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, March 9 - June 12, excluding Memorial Day travel. Nonstop each-way fares include:
  • Las Vegas ... $49 (beginning April 23)
  • San Francisco ... $59
  • Portland ... $79
  • Seattle ... $89
  • Chicago & Dallas ... $119
  • Washington, D.C. (Dulles) ... $129
  • New York, Boston, Philadelphia & Fort Lauderdale ... $139
Surrounding dates start at $10 more each way. Note: A 10- to 21-day advance purchase is required depending on route.
The sale ends at 11:59 p.m. CT Wednesday.

Oh my gosh! Thanks. Maybe it's time to buy DS's birthday present E3 tickets.

It would have been round trip DFW to LAX, but, as it turns out, we missed out by one day. E3 ends on June 13, so we weren't eligible for the discounted fares. *shrug* I'll keep an eye out for another good sale. :)

3wishes' sales always seem to originate from SoCal; fares to SoCal don't seem to qualify.

Hmm. I didn't even bother to check the whatchacallit site. The first thing I did was google E3 to be sure of the dates. Then I knew we were dead in the water regardless. *sigh*

E3 is a must, though. DS has opted for that instead of a car as a 16th birthday present.
