Ohio Star hotel question..

Sorry for posting here, but I know several of you have been to the Ohio Star Ball before and I need some information on the hotel.

The website says it's at the Hyatt Regency, but it doesn't give much more information than that. There are two Hyatt's in Columbus, one is on Capitol Square on East State Street and one is on North High Street.

I'm also trying to find the Red Roof Inn that somebody told me is across the street from the comp, but there's only one RRI in Columbus and it's on East Nationwide Blvd.

If someone could help me I would really appreciate it. I'm so confused right now!

I think you want N. high street and I think it is right across from nation wide...I will be at the courtyard on spring st for the third year in a row

It's at whichever of the two Hyatts is showing as sold out...the OSB takes over the whole entire hotel and you can't stay there unless you are on package. (This is how I remember which one it is.) It's the one near the Crowne Plaza.
Here are some links to hotels close to convention center.

1. Hyatt Regency Columbus - Venue for OSB

2. Red Roof Inn

3. Courtyard Columbus Downtown

4. Crowne Plaza

Hope this helps. Since I live in Columbus, feel free to PM if any other questions.
I am 90% that it is high street
Fascination is correct. The OSB headquarters hotel is the Hyatt at 350 N. High Street, at the corner of High Street and Nationwide Blvd.

The nearest Red Roof Inn is at 111 East Nationwide Blvd. It's a block or two from the Hyatt.

Another hotel that's closer to the Hyatt is the Drury Inn at 88 E Nationwide Blvd.

The Crowne Plaza Columbus is directly across the street from the Hyatt at 33 E. Nationwide Blvd. It's connected to the competition venue by a skywalk.

Next door to the Crowne and also directly across the street from the Hyatt is The Lofts Hotel, 55 E. Nationwide Blvd.

A couple blocks north of the Hyatt, but still within walking distance, is the Hampton Inn at 501 N. High Street.

All of these properties are depicted on a nifty map on the web site of the Columbus Convention Center.

BTW, for those of you who remember, Ohio State University had their big football game of the year versus Michigan in Columbus last year during the same weekend as OSB; this took up many of the hotel rooms near the comp. It was really tough to find vacant rooms at the last minute for that weekend.

However, looking at the OSU football schedule, it appears they are playing Michigan at Ann Arbor this year so it might not be as difficult to get a room this year; book your rooms as early as you can though!
